Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy

Elefair follows US federal law, carrier rules, US Customs (CBP) regulations and partner-channel policies. Listing a prohibited item leads to removal and may lead to termination and reporting to authorities.

Prohibited (never allowed)

• Counterfeit, replica or unauthorised branded goods; items infringing copyright or trademark (see DMCA Policy)
• Illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, controlled substances, unapproved pharmaceuticals, prescription medicines
• Firearms, ammunition, firearm parts, explosives, fireworks, stun guns, switchblades and other weapons restricted in the US
• Hazardous materials: flammable liquids, compressed gases, corrosives, lithium batteries shipped loose, radioactive material, pesticides without EPA registration
• Tobacco, vaping products, nicotine, alcohol, cannabis and CBD without a licence
• Live animals, animal parts of protected species (CITES), ivory, furs of endangered species
• Human remains or body parts, blood, bodily fluids
• Adult/sexually explicit material; child-exploitative content of any kind
• Stolen goods, lock-picking tools marketed for illegal use, surveillance devices for illegal interception
• Government IDs, licences, uniforms, badges; currency and coins marketed as legal tender; lottery tickets, gambling services
• Recalled products, items that fail CPSC safety rules (e.g., non-compliant children's products, magnets sets), unsafe cosmetics
• Hate symbols or material promoting violence; offensive or discriminatory content
• Services, digital-only items without delivery, multi-level-marketing schemes

Restricted (allowed only with approval or conditions)

• Food and supplements: must be FDA-compliant, sealed, within shelf life, and shipped from the US
• Cosmetics and personal care: FDA labelling, no medical claims
• Electronics with batteries: shipped installed, carrier-compliant packaging, UN38.3
• Medical devices (Class I only), PPE, masks: compliant labelling, no treatment claims
• Used or refurbished items: condition must be accurate; no used underwear, mattresses or safety equipment (helmets, car seats)
• Branded goods: only with authorisation or clear first-sale rights; we hold listings matching the VeRO list
• Plants and seeds: USDA rules; no soil; no shipping to restricted states
• Knives and tools: not switchblades/butterfly knives; no shipping where banned

Country-specific

Sellers shipping internationally must check destination import bans (e.g., drones, radios and certain supplements are restricted in several countries). Elefair may block shipping of restricted categories to specific countries at checkout.
