Orders delivered in the United States

Most international orders fall under the US de minimis rule and clear customs without duties when the shipment value is below the current threshold. Where duties or fees do apply (higher-value shipments, certain product categories, or changes in US customs rules), the carrier collects them from the buyer at delivery unless the listing states "Duties included". Elefair shows a notice on listings shipped from outside the US.

Orders delivered outside the United States

Shipments are sent Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU): the buyer is the importer of record and is responsible for import VAT/GST, duties and any brokerage fees charged by the carrier or customs authority in the destination country. These are not included in the price or shipping cost unless stated.

Refusing a package

If you refuse to pay duties and the package is returned or abandoned, we can refund only the item price minus outbound and return shipping and any fees charged to the seller.

Customs declarations

Sellers must declare contents and value accurately. Elefair prohibits under-declaring value or marking goods as gifts.

Restricted imports

Some items cannot be imported into certain countries; it is the buyer's responsibility to check local rules. See Prohibited & Restricted Items.
