Requires two (2) AAA batteries (not included) to operate. For best performance, we recommend using Ni-MH batteries. Alkaline batteries are also compatible. Important: To prevent potential damage to the device, please do not use any rechargeable batteries other than Ni-MH. 7 Adjustable Power Levels๏ผ Fully Manual Operation: Godox IM30 is a manual flash, you will need to set the correct power setting and there's NO TTL. The IM30 mini flash is front-facing only, it is fixed and the angle cannot be adjusted, so it can't be used for bounce settings. The GODOX iM30 Flash offers 7 power levels (1/64~1/1) to suit any scene or lighting condition. Whether you need subtle fill light or full brightness, easily adjust the flash to achieve your desired lighting effect.
for Fill Flash & Short Lenses: Optimized for use with pancake or short lenses, the Godox IM30 is ideal for outdoor fill flash or adding supplemental light. For larger or longer lenses, the flash may create shadows in your photos. Camera models on the compatibility list are compatible for use with the GODOX IM30. However, please be aware that using wide-angle or telephoto lenses may cause a shadow to be cast in your images. Kindly take note of this when shooting.

The IM30 has a Guide Number of 15. This level of brightness may be too strong for direct portrait photography. For softer and more flattering light, we suggest using a diffuser.
